Giving thanks

We’ve had a busy week. My good friend visited us last Sunday and stayed through to Tuesday morning. Wednesday I ended up going to see the chiropractor. Didn’t help, sadly, but at least I’m level again. 😀 My relatives came down on Thursday for Thanksgiving. We made Parsley and Thyme Crusted Leg of Lamb, Mashed Potatoes and Apples with Thyme, Cranberry Applesauce, broccoli, Garlic Knot Rolls, and Pumpkin Pie. With four of us, we had plenty of leftovers to munch on for the next few days. 🙂 To help the food settle, we went to the Plaza to see the lights turn on. It has been chilly, so we didn’t stay long. Despite the cold and a man’s really disgusting cigar stinking up the area, the lights and fireworks show were a fun addition to Thanksgiving.

On Friday, we took down the autumn decorations and pulled out winter decorations. We have a tree up and a gum drop town all lit up. I treated everyone to Jun’s, a great sushi restaurant in the area. We had mochi balls for dessert even, but wow do I feel stuffed! Two big restaurant meals and Thanksgiving with leftovers… I need a major diet or exercise plan. Good eats though, and good company. 🙂 I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving!
