Stuck in a one-horse town

I have so many things I want to do, my body is going to explode! Lately I have been feeling very passionate about many topics of conversation, and I haven't had the time to write or even really think. Today just pushed me over the edge though.

I was browsing Facebook to see how everyone else is doing, and notcied everyone has gone on a trip recently to someplace I am dying to go. Needless to say, I am feeling antsy, jealous, and just plain frustrated that everyone else is doing the things I want to be doing! For instance, Emy recently went to Iceland (and the Blue Lagoon) as well as the United Kingdom (visiting Stonehenge of course). Satomi just traveled around Japan (although she is from Japan, so a little exception, but not much) and saw Sapporo, Nagano, and several other places eating TONS of awesome Japanese foods and being happy. Then Briana recently visited India and saw some great places, experienced some great colorful culture. of course, I could throw in the fact that my brother and his girlfriend live in Germany and see things in Europe all the time… and here I am, stuck in the middle of America.

Granted, Hoyt and I did take a trip to Oklahoma City last weekend and saw some neat things, Oklahoma really doesn't compare to Iceland, United Kingdom, Japan, India, or Germany… Japan and Germany are slated for next year, but nothing confirmed yet. Ack!! I'm going to go insane if I don't visit someplace exotic and not in the middle of the U.S. soon. The walls are closing in… closer and closer… paranoia… they're coming to take me away ha ha!

What have I done?

Updated: I missed one, and I decided I would grey out the ones I have absolutely no intentions or see myself ever doing. The causing a car accident I left, for instance, because that might happen on its own (but not done on purpose!).

Okay, I am always curious to see what I have and have not done. Out of the list of 150 things, I have done 39. Not bad, considering some of these I have no plans to do… and some are already on my list of things to do.

Sunday Bloody Sunday

A few days ago we were talking about videos that made it big on the Internet. I was surprised that my colleagues had never heard of the Ugachaka Baby, the first very popular video that I can recollect, or even the Numa Numa song! I am also going to link this particular video of Bush actually “singing” Sunday Bloody Sunday… I think it was ingeniously put together. Sadly, the list I createdis not with me, but I'll find a few.

Ugachaka Baby: the Ugachaka Baby was one of the first videos that revolutionized video for the Internet
Numa Numa: the beginning of TONS of people lip syncing to songs on webcams…
Mario Live
Matrix Ping Pong

Now, for a little Internet entertainment. The first Red vs. Blue (now has a number of seasons), which was featured on the front page of the Wall Street Journal two or three years ago.
Red vs. Blue episode 1: this was created using Halo screenshots
And, of course!, Homestarrunner…
Homestarrunner Strong Bad Email: Guitar

So much more… but there's a start. Enjoy.

Evil… in a weird way…

First, I want to say that Hoyt and I went to our first movie at the cinema together on Monday!! We saw “Step Up”, a definite rip off of Save the Last Dance with a hint of Eight Mile in it. Still, I enjoyed it with disregard to those blatant parallels. Hoyt has been more than kind to me these past couple weeks, so it's time I start shaping up and getting back into a healthier lifestyle.

On to the evil… check this short video out made by Transistor Studios… I can't say I'd hire them to do any promo for me, but hey, some people like being sadistic. Enjoy… *insert evil laughter*
